Talks With The Doc

A place for education and testimonies

Welcome to my very own DPC practice!  Most refer to DPC as Direct Primary Care, however, I like to call it Direct Physician Care. Because that's what your getting with Healthy Self DPC, your physician for everything you need.  Every. Single. Time.

Yes, I have social media that I post to, but you can only say so much in a quick reel video.  So I've decided to start a blog where that will allow a deeper dive into:

Dr. Jamie's Why

Why did I want to become a doctor? Why a DPC practice? Why Willis? What do I teach at Sam Houston?  What motivates me?  What all can I provide?

The Clinic

Clinic operations,  meet the staff,  clinic events, practice mission and vision.

Health Topics

Throughout different seasons I'll touch on various health problems and solutions to think about, discuss helpful supplements for common medical conditions, and comment on various health care trends.

Mind, Body, Spirit

Explore how healing and optimizing health involves all 3 components of the human experience.

I hope you enjoy this journey with me. Feel free to comment on posts and ask anything you want me to address in the future!

God Bless,

Dr. Eller

'In Episode 167 of the "My DPC Story Podcast," Dr. Maryal Concepcion interviews Dr. Jamie Eller, a dedicated physician whose journey in Direct Primary Care (DPC) began during her second year of residency. Inspired by graduates and colleagues, Dr. Eller balanced teaching at Sam Houston's College of Osteopathic Medicine with her passion for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). However, constrained by heavy teaching duties and limited control over patient demographics, she turned her sights toward DPC."

The following osteopathic manipulation techniques are noninvasive and can easily be performed by the physician or patients themselves. For best results. gently massage the area just above the collar bones prior to performing these techniques. These techniques focus on the lymphatic drainage of the ear, nose and throat, and can be helpful in facilitating quicker healing for acute illnesses of the upper respiratory tract, including: ear infections, pharyngitis (viral or strep throat), sinusitis, allergies, and other soft tissue infections of the head and neck.
